Course Description
In the ever-shifting landscape of tax legislation, the complexities of the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) present a significant challenge for tax, accounting, and finance professionals. Navigating the intricacies of its three phases – CARES Act, Taxpayer Certainty and Disaster Relief Act of 2020 (TCDRA), and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) – can be daunting, especially with the overlapping guidelines and early termination by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This webcast CPE course is designed to demystify these complexities and guide you through the process of understanding, calculating, and claiming the ERC.
We provide a comprehensive breakdown of the ERC’s evolution, from its inception to its premature end. You will learn to identify eligible employers, understand the interplay between the ERC and other programs, and accurately calculate and claim the credit. The online CPE course also includes a review of relevant IRS guidance and an overview of professional responsibilities under Circular 230. This in-depth knowledge equips you with the tools to confidently navigate the ERC and optimize benefits for eligible employers.
