Dr. Rocco Lueck is an Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Business Department at D’Youville University. He also serves as the Director of the Veterans and Military Research Center at D’Youville University.
Some of Dr. Lueck’s more recent scholarly work has focused on inward foreign direct investment, employment, and macro-policy recommendations. He has presented his work at various academic conferences, and has published research relating to international economics and policy.
He earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Niagara University, and both a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Canisius College. He also studied military science as part of the Army ROTC program. Upon graduating Canisius College, he was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Army and served honorably as a field artillery officer. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Lueck worked in private business in various capacities.
Dr. Lueck holds membership in the National Association for Business Economics, and the Institute of Management Accountants and Financial Professionals. Dr. Lueck earned certificates in Applied Econometrics, Economics of Strategy and Managerial Decision-Making, and Economic Measurement from the National Association for Business Economics. In addition, he earned a certificate in Data Analytics and Visualization from the Institute of Management Accountants and Financial Professionals. He is also a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), a designation which is jointly administered by the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Dr. Lueck also holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
